Open Students’ and Teachers’ Minds to the Digital World (OMiDiWo) was a strategic partnership project between 5 general and technical secondary schools, Oberschulzentrum Mals (South Tyrol/Italy), Zespol Szkol Technicznych Radom (Poland), Farelcollege Ridderkerk (Netherlands), IES Punta del Verde Seville (Spain) and Agrupamento de Escolas Abade de Baçal Bragança (Portugal).
The project aimed at supporting each partners’ digitisation process through international cooperation to foster Digital Citizenship Education in students. Due to Covid-19 the project lasted 36 months (Oct 2019 - Sep 2022) and focused on digital learning and teaching. The main objectives were:
The project included 2 teacher and 5 student mobilities and some eTwinning activities to intensify cooperation and increase the benefits of the whole project. Project activities focused on different areas of digital learning ranging from supporting personalised learning, professional development and promoting intercultural learning through digital media to learning about the threats of digital learning and becoming a European citizen through digital learning and also included job shadowing, best practice exchanges, joint reflections on each school’s digitisation process, getting to know the digital competence model of the DigCompOrg framework and the SELFIE tool.
This website was created to provide interested schools, teachers and other stakeholders with information about the partner schools, an overview of the organized teacher and student mobilities as well as the project outputs and shared best practices tools.
